No, you don't get a formatted page when you want to know about my network. Maybe later. Press the 'Back' button on your browser to go back. My home network consists of 5 computers: Sarah: 486DX4-100 in my sisters room PII333: PII 333 - Main computer, has the scanner on it, and is currently running the phone answering system Development: P166 - Basement on my work bench. This is where all the PIC development takes place Jasmine: P75 overclocked to 100 - Basement test system. Am planning on dual booting windows and FreeBSD. Perhaps throw a linux distro on it later as well. Dos_Machine: P?? - The name says it all. I needed to be familiar with networking dos and windows computers together, and I wanted one system unencumbered with windows to run some dos programs from. Right now it's pretending to be a print server for the rest of the house. I am limited by monitors, though. I only have 4 monitors, and only one of them is svga (greater than 640x480). Currently the dos machine and development are on a switchbox, which is 90% of the time pointing to the development machine. They are all networked to a hub in the basement, regular 10BaseT. Eventually I'll probably change the dos machine into a freebsd server which will handle printing and the internet connection for the house. I am cheating by running 1 network cable through the ductwork right now. I don't know what problems might occur from doing so, but I didn't want to take the time to wire one cable correctly now, when I am planning on wiring the whole house at some point with more than just cat5 cable.
